Cameroon: Polio Outbreak Confirmed in Western Region

polioeradication.org–One wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) case has been confirmed in Cameroon. This is the first WPV in the country since 2009. WPV1 was isolated from an acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) case from Ouest province, with onset of paralysis on 1 October 2013.
