Forjindam who has been in prison in Douala since 2008 has been decorated with one of the highest state medals, reported the Eden Newspaper and Guardian Post. Recall that Forjindam was the former General Manager of the Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering. He was jailed on July 20, 2012, by the Littoral Court of Appeal with a life sentence for embezzling 978 million FCFA.

The supreme court on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 indefinitely adjourned the appeal brought forth by a college of Forjindam lawyers. On 20th May, 2016, a jailed former state director was then decorated with a medal by state authorities in Bamenda.{loadposition myposition}

Why should a jailed officer be decorated? How do the awards of medals work? Does it not make a mockery of the process? Does it not make nonsense the case brought against Forjindam? What is the government trying to do here? Most Cameroonians believe Forjindam is a victim of Francophone state mafia because he personally developed Chantal Naval. Is someone trying to dare Biya here?
