There will be a lot of football effervescence across the African continent in the weekend of September 6 – 8 2013. The last round of African qualifiers for World Cup 2014 slated for Brazil will be played. One of such action-packed matches will pit the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon against their Mediterranean counterparts from Libya. It will be one of the matches in Group I.
The Group I standing puts Cameroon at the pole position with 10 points, Libya 9, DR Congo 6 and Togo 1.
For the September 8 showdown, the head coach of the Lions, German-born, Volker Finke has released a list of 25 players and 4 on the waiting list. Despite the one point advantage, reports have it that Finke is not taking anything for granted and so he is meticulously preparing the Lions for that game. The Libyans are also said to be preparing their coming to Yaoundé with a lot of seriousness and details.
Below is a comprehensive list of the players called to camp by Finke. They are due at the Confederation of African Football Excellence Centre in Mbankomo, Yaoundé from September 1 2013.
